いらっしゃいませ!
That's what the Japanese always say when they greet the visitor.
So, because you're here now... either you already know me, or you know something that leads to my place :D
But before enjoying your visit, please allow me to say something-- )

Thanks for visiting! Have a nice day~~

iTouch Apps Diary
books
[info]suaracahaya
Okay. Because I have downloaded hundreds of iPod Touch applications and it's getting troublesome to keep track of them inside my head or several notes scattered here and there, I decided to start this post. I will update this whenever I make changes in my iTouch.

Oh, and I've altered the date because I want this post to be easily accessible -- meaning, to get it on top of other posts. The actual start date is the same as the first diary entry below.

Tue 2009-09-08
(I actually did 30 apps today ^^;;) )

Wed 2009-09-09   Getting 8 apps today. )

Thu 2009-09-10

try 5, remove 11, notes and interests )

Fri 2009-09-11
  • Try TheCarrot.com, a free, nice-looking life-track app. *update* It needs to be connected to the internet so I couldn't judge it now -- need to go to the lab for that...
  • Try iDork Lite : nice, unique, & intuitive game, but I don't like the blood >_<
  • Installed gFlash+ : need the WiFi to check available flashcards. I hope there's one for Heisig.
  • Try domo Todo (lite) : unusual interface, but less tapping anyway. Need time to adapt.
  • Put back PI Lite and SaiSuke Lite, due to positive information and reviews.

This will be the next date
  • And this will be the next app to be added/reviewed.
  • Okay, I made this one coz I want a quick copy-and-paste template for my next entry :)

of sudden blackout, facebook longing, and time-consciousness
flying
[info]suaracahaya
Half an hour ago, I got a blackout.

But this time it's not the electricity -- it's my laptop screen that suddenly went black... I tried the power button, but it won't boot up. Then I gave up and decided to wait for several more minutes. Well, this is not the first time my laptop suddenly shut herself down, although I'm still wondering why... If the internal part is somewhere damaged, should I fly her back to Indonesia for the reparation...? Oh no, that's the worst scenario... *God, they didn't even have a proper website to start with!!*  o_O

While I waited, I suddenly realized something -- )

I think it's time to put a "Stop" sign and start the contemplation...

reTrack the history
friendship
[info]suaracahaya
While tidying up the "tags" (oh, what a bothersome task! trust me >_<), I came across this post -- apparently my first post in LJ... and I was going to wrote a new comment for myself before decided to make this a new post afterall ^__^

Well, apparently I got this site up before my Multiply... hmm. Need to reTrack the history of myself after this :p But I remembered that I used to crosspost between LJ and MP, using LJ's mobile technology... which I missed so much right now... *sigh*  I don't know why, but I haven't found a mobile phone in Japan that is compatible with Java application. What a frustation, really.

'Niwei.. Glad I could keep this up and running (albeit not so well) until now... Just need to take better care and better usage of this :)

Yay blogging! :D

it's a home-cleaning, I would say
friendship
[info]suaracahaya
Since three days ago I've been spending full time in this site:
  • Getting new layout, and tinkering with the css *tired!*
  • Looking for fresh icons -- while grumbling about the lackness of search effectivity at LJ in general; and end up watching some new communities and adding lots of memories *I so LUV this feature!*
  • Organizing the tag... making all of them in Engrish :D, just for the sake of consistency
While on the process, I stumbled onto LJ sites of people I don't know... and observing them made me think about my own. Most of the people here make their journal private -- or, you could say, friends-only. You are probably doing it right now :) I, on the other side, choose to be "fully public" or "fully private". That is, if I post something, it will be either for everyone or just for myself. (For example, a letter to my future heart ^^).

...

Actually I want to talk a bit more about this, but it's not the time for thinking rite now...
as I said: it's home-cleaning time! :D

Things I hope LJ could be better at
spacewar

The first thing is its search feature.

Maybe it's just me, but I find it ridiculously difficult to search for something inside LJ.
Why don't they just have the *usual, everybody-is-familiar-with, g--- you-know-who- like* search engine to start with???
Seriously. I'm trying to find a computer-related and anime-related userpics, but I just don't have any clue where to start searching. Well, I do try to search, but the result is nil *to my preferences*.

Well. Maybe it's just me, though.

And the next one -- well. Have you tried to enable My Guests feature?

I was at lost when realized that I need to enable Cyrillic Services *whatever it is* under "Account -> Display" in order to enable My Guests feature under "Account -> Privacy". And after I did those things, I was hoping for some cool features, maybe like the one Mixi has, or the one I fond of at Multiply. Instead, I got this side menu addition under "Main" where everything is in Russian.

Oh, thank you very much, I still have 1750 more Kanji to learn instead of Russian characters.

Well, I could find the so-called My Guests feature under the "Main -> My stats", but guess what -- yeah, it's in Russian.

Once again, thank you :D  >_<

Poor thing.
computer

The "Windows uptime" program shows that my laptop has been up for 2 days, 12 hours, 17 minutes, and 39 seconds.
So I decided to waste 5 minutes to shut it down and boot it up again.

Please bear with me a little longer, will you? ^^;;
